This is a handout given to foreign exchange students in Texas A&M's International Program to introduce them to popular American slang.

Glad you guys find it useful. I'm not sure when this handout was originally published, but three of the slang words/phrases are not popular anymore (maybe they are still used in Texas though):

- the 'late' Mr. Smith
- lemon
- shoot the breeze

This list is also missing some popular American slang, e.g.:

- blaze (smoke pot)
- hit the sack (go to sleep)
- set the curve (excel in class; be a top student)
